T166 - Architecture 1: 3D Design
1 Full Year - Open to Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors
Pre-requisite - None
Architecture 1: 3D Design introduces students to the foundational principles of residential design and 3D visualization. This year-long course explores the history of architecture, sketching techniques, space planning, accessibility, site analysis, and the integration of design elements and principles to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Industry grade software will be used including Autodesk Inventor and Chief Architect.

T266 - Architecture 2: Systems and Sustainability
1 Full Year - Open to Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors
Pre-requisite - Successful Completion of T166 - Computer Aided Design & Graphics
Architecture 2: Systems and Sustainability builds upon foundational design principles, offering students a deeper exploration of architecture’s technical, cultural, and environmental impact. The course introduces careers related to architecture, such as landscape architecture, interior design, urban planning, and trades associated with residential utility systems. Students will learn how architecture impacts society beyond residential homes through the study and design of shaping communities, visually presenting ideas, sustainable strategies, and biophilic design. Students will refine advanced technical skills such as scale model construction, detailed hand drafting, and the use of Autodesk Revit, empowering them to transform their designs into precise and creative representations that prepare them for collegiate programs.

T366, T466 - Architecture 3 and 4 Independent Study
1 Full Year - Open to Juniors, & Seniors
Pre-requisite - Successful Completion of T266 - Explorations in Architecture & Engineering
Students who want to further their study in Architecture are encouraged to enroll. Individualized work in selected areas of Architecture is planned with the instructor. This is an opportunity for students to become more self-directed in developing skills.

T418 - PLTW Civil Engineering & Architecture (CEA)
1 Full Year - Open to Juniors & Seniors
Pre-requisite -Successful Completion of T302 Principles of Engineering
***Honor's Weighted Course
Civil Engineering and Architecture (CEA) is the study of the design and construction of residential and commercial building projects. The course includes an introduction to many of the varied factors involved in building design and construction including building components and systems, structural design, storm water management, site design, utilities and services, cost estimation, energy efficiency, and careers in the design and construction industry. The major focus of the CEA course is to expose students to the design
and construction of residential and commercial building projects, design teams and teamwork, communication methods, engineering standards, and technical documentation. Students will analyze, design, and build electronic and physical models of residential and commercial facilities. While implementing these designs students will continually hone their interpersonal skills, creative abilities, and understanding of the design process. Students will use state of the art software, as used in the industry, to aid in the design process.
